You can install Mailsuite on your smartphone and view email tracking data directly in your Gmail app. This helps you stay on top of your inbox no matter where you are. In addition, you can also send tracked emails from your phone. If Mailsuite is not working as you anticipated on your mobile device, here are some simple ways to troubleshoot the most common issues.
Mailsuite for mobile installation didn’t work
If you attempted to install Mailsuite for mobile using your smartphone and the installation was not successful, try to install it again using your desktop computer or laptop. Even if you install Mailsuite using your computer,it will automatically appear in your smartphone.
If the installation has been successful, you will see an “Uninstall” button on the Mailsuite for mobile page (shown below).
However, if you still can't see Mailsuite in your Gmail app, verify that you installed Mailtrack for mobile for the correct email account. In the upper-right corner of Mailtrack for mobile page you will find the email account where it is installed, if not the right one, change the account and install it again.
Be in mind that Mailtrack for mobile is not an app but an add-on for Gmail app. This means that Mailtrack for mobile will not appear as a separate app in your phone home screen, but only inside the Gmail app at the very bottom of each email conversation.
Mailsuite for mobile doesn’t work after successful installation
Remember to restart your Gmail app after you install Mailsuite for mobile. Close the Gmail app completely and open it again. If you are still unable to view tracking data in Gmail after restarting the app, shut down your phone and turn it on again. This ensures that your Gmail app will open with Mailsuite for mobile installed correctly.
Emails are not being tracked when sent from mobile
You can send tracked emails from your mobile device with Mailsuite. However, it’s important to note that you must enable tracking on each individual email. Emails sent from your Gmail app will not be tracked automatically. To enable tracking on emails you send from your mobile device, follow these steps:
- Click Compose to write a new email.
- In the upper right-hand corner of the email, click More options (the three horizontal dots)
- Select Insert from Mailsuite then click Track email
After completing these steps, email tracking will be enabled for that specific email.
Not receiving real-time notifications from Mailsuite for mobile
Real-time notifications for mobile devices are not enabled by default. For this reason, you won’t receive them automatically. However, it’s very easy to enable them. Read this walkthrough to enable notifications on your phone.
Note: Real-time push notifications are not currently available for iOS devices.
