When you sign up for Mailsuite, you will be asked to give us permission to access your Gmail and process your emails. We need to obtain these permissions for technical reasons necessary to provide the service, but they are automatic processes with no human intervention. Mailsuite will never read the contents of your emails.
Additionally, each year we pass a security assessment required by Google for its partners. No one from the Mailtrack team accesses your emails. You can rest assured that your data is private and secure.
However, if you want to understand what these permissions do in detail, here you can find an explanation for each permission:
- SEND: This permission is required to add a tracking pixel before your email is delivered. After the pixel is added, Mailsuite needs the permission to send your email on your behalf.
- READ: Mailsuite software requires this permission to make identical copies of your emails. These copies are necessary if you are sending an email to multiple recipients. An automated software processes this permission.
- DELETE: In case you send an email to multiple recipients or an email campaign, Mailsuite sends multiple copies of your email and it needs to delete all but one in the sent folder. This action only occurs when you send campaigns or the same email to multiple recipients. No individual emails are lost during this process.
- INSERT EMAIL IN YOUR INBOX: This permission is required to add email notifications to your Gmail inbox when your emails are opened.
- MANAGE YOUR BASIC EMAILS SETTINGS: Mailsuite needs to know your settings (e.g. alias, design style) to work properly.
- MANAGE LABELS: The checkmarks in mobile devices are added as Gmail labels. Mailsuite needs this permission to add labels in order to display check marks and update them when your emails are opened.
- Permission to read and change your data on a number of websites (All usergooglecontent.com sites, all mail.google.com sites, all mailsuite.com sites). Mailsuite needs these permissions to modify the Gmail and Google Inbox websites to display our checkmarks, as well as modify the Mailsuite website.
