Mailtrack's real-time desktop notifications alert you in real-time when someone opens your emails.
This feature is particularly useful if you want to use real-time email tracking for your email campaigns.
How to enable desktop notifications
Desktop push notifications are enabled by default. You can choose to enable or disable them in your notification settings.
You can also choose them for each email: in the Gmail compose window, click the Mailsuite button next to Send and use the desktop tab under Notify me by.
On your phone, real-time notifications come from the Mailtrack app.
How to allow notifications in Chrome
Sometimes, it may be necessary to allow notifications in Chrome's notification settings.
As Google's Chrome Help Center explains, you can complete these steps to allow notifications in Chrome:
- Open a new tab in Chrome
- Copy and paste chrome://settings/content/notifications into the address bar
- Scroll down to the Allowed to send notifications section
Click Add then type "mailsuite.com" in the text box of the pop-up that appears
How to enable notifications on Windows
On Windows, real-time desktop notifications may be blocked at the OS level. There are two things to check:
- Do not disturb (Focus Assist on Windows 10): make sure it's turned off, as it blocks real-time notifications.
- Windows notification settings: Go to Settings > System > Notifications (on Windows 10, search for Notifications & actions settings). Scroll down until you find Google Chrome, then click on it. Make sure both Show notification banners and Show notifications in action center are turned on.
How to mute notifications
You can mute desktop notifications using the options in the notification itself or in your notification settings.
When you receive a real-time notification, click Options and choose Mute this conversation or Mute all notifications.
In your notification settings, you can enable or disable the notifications you no longer wish to receive.
