When you install Mailtrack, you can send unlimited tracked emails. In addition, you can also set up real-time notifications to see when recipients open your email. There are a variety of notifications you can choose to receive, including:
- When emails are opened
- When links are clicked
- When tracked PDFs are viewed
- If an email is not opened or not replied to
- If an email is opened a lot of times
- If an email is opened after a long time
- A daily report of all your email activity
- And when your Mailtrack Campaign reports are ready
When you enable “not opened” reminders, Mailtrack will notify you when someone doesn't open an email you've sent them. You should receive a reminder email 24, 48, or 72 hours after sending a still-unread email. The reminder looks like this:
In the reminder, you have the option to change the time intervals so that you can be reminded again in 24, 48 or 72 hours to follow-up with the recipient if they have still not read the email.
How to enable Mailtrack notifications and reminders
These reminders can help you keep conversations moving forward and can also serve as a reminder that you need to follow up on previous conversations. To enable any type of Mailtrack notification, visit your dashboard and complete the following steps:
- Click the gear icon at the top right to open Settings & account, then click Notifications. You can also go straight to your notification settings.
- Check or uncheck the boxes to enable or disable each type of notification or reminder. To enable “not opened” reminders, choose your desired time in the dropdown next to if the email is not opened within and check the box in the Email column. Changes are saved automatically.
You can also turn the reminder on or off for a single email: in the Gmail compose window, click the Mailsuite button next to Send and, under Notify me by, check or uncheck the if the email is not opened within… option.
After this, you will receive the notifications you’ve opted in to, including “not opened” reminders.
To disable reminders, you can simply uncheck the box on the same screen above. There is also the option to disable not opened reminders directly from your inbox, either completely or for one contact in particular:
