Gmail is a powerful email platform that allows you to customize how you view your inbox. One setting you can enable is the Preview Pane, which allows you to view an email in different ways within your inbox. Mailtrack should work with the preview pane enabled, but Mailtrack is not compatible with all inbox layouts.
How to use Gmail’s preview pane
To enable the preview pane, follow these steps:
- Go to your Gmail inbox and click Settings > See all settings
- Navigate to the Inbox tab, then scroll to the Reading pane section
- Check the box next to Enable reading pane
- Select your desired mode: No split, Right of inbox, Below inbox
- Click Save changes
To turn off the preview pane, follow these steps:
- Go to your Gmail inbox and click Settings > See all settings
- Navigate to the Inbox tab, then scroll to the Reading pane section
- Uncheck the box next to Enable reading pane
- Click Save changes
Using Mailtrack with the preview pane
No matter which type of account you have, Mailtrack should continue working as normal whether you have the preview pane enabled or disabled. However, we recommend that you disable the preview pane in order to ensure Mailtrack works as expected. If you experience any issues while using Mailtrack, complete the steps to troubleshoot.
