You can send personalized email campaigns with mail merge using your Mailsuite Lists. To do so:
- In Gmail, click Compose. In the new message window, click Campaign, next to Cc Bcc.
- Click Import recipients.
- In the Import Recipients window, click the From Lists tab and select the list you want to import.*
- Click Import data to add the contacts in the list to your campaign as recipients.
In the Recipients field, you'll see a summary of the import, for example 4 recipients (from Lists). Click the summary to open the list you're using. - Click Add field and choose the list field you want to use to personalize your email. This adds a tag such as {{name}} where the personalized content will appear. You can move the tag to wherever you need it in your email.
If a contact has no value for that field, a blank space will be added instead, unless you set a fallback text. - Click Continue and send your campaign from the Mailsuite Campaign pop-up. If some contacts are missing data for a field you used, Mailsuite will let you know before you send. Learn more about the sending options in Mailtrack Campaigns.
Please note that after you import the data:
- You can't add or remove recipients manually.
- Contacts you add to the list later won't be included in the campaign.
- Changes to the email addresses in the list won't be taken into account.
To make these changes, update the list and import it again. You can still change other values in the list, such as names, and they will be used in the email you send.
*If you haven't used mail merge with Lists before, Mailsuite may ask you to enable this option and grant extra permissions.
