Mailsuite is one of the most accurate and reliable email trackers available. You can track anytime someone opens your email, as well as other important metrics. To help you improve your email efforts even more, Mailsuite sends you alerts each time a recipient completes an action (if you have them enabled). These alerts include:
- Open alerts
- Link Click alerts
- Hot Conversation alerts
- Revival Conversation alerts
- And more!
You can enable or disable each alert type in your Mailsuite Dashboard. Click Settings and Privacy > Notifications.
What is an open alert?
Mailsuite sends you an open alert whenever someone opens your email. These can help you stay on top of your emails and continue conversations with your recipients. Open alerts can also be helpful by letting you know someone is interested in your email messages.
However, there are some cases in which you may receive inaccurate open alerts, including immediately after you send an email. Mailsuite uses tracking pixels to track your emails, and false positive open alerts usually occur when this pixel is downloaded immediately after the email was sent.
What causes false positive open alerts?
The situations below are the most common reason for false positive open alerts:
- The recipient's email service is automatically downloading our tracking pixel. If you notice that you are receiving open alerts immediately after sending emails to certain (but not all) people, then this is likely to be the cause. Keep an eye out for additional email opens from these recipients - those will most likely be genuine opens.
- Your CRM is automatically downloading our tracking pixel. Certain CRM softwares process emails in a way that can cause our tracking pixel to be downloaded immediately. If you're sending an external CRM copies of your emails and are receiving open notifications immediately after sending an email, then we recommend that you try sending an email without including the CRM to see if you still experience problems.
- An email program on your computer or phone is automatically downloading our tracking pixel. Some email programs preview the contents of your sent emails and this can result in our tracking pixel being downloaded along with the rest of the email's contents, immediately after you've sent it. To avoid this, it is recommended to disable email previews.
