When a recipient has unsubscribed, Mailtrack won't let you send them an email. Gmail shows a "Recipient unsubscribed" pop-up saying that this person has requested not to receive any more emails from you using Mailsuite's services, and the email is not sent.
Can I turn off tracking and send anyway?
No. While a recipient is unsubscribed, you can't send them emails with Mailtrack installed. Turning off tracking for a single email does not change this.
What can I do?
You can fix it in one of these ways:
- Ask the recipient to resubscribe. If they unsubscribed by mistake, they can click Resubscribe on the "Unsubscribe Successful" page.
- Change it directly if you already have the recipient's permission to email them.
- Send a consent request so the recipient can explicitly confirm that they want to receive your emails.
See How to change a recipient's consent status from unsubscribed to subscribed for the steps.
As the sender, you are responsible for collecting your recipients' consent. Mailtrack gives you the tools to do it. To learn more about recipients' rights, read How to exercise your data protection rights as recipient.
