What is a campaign batch send?
Campaign batch send lets you split your campaign into smaller batches and send them gradually over a period of time.
This allows you to send a campaign to up to 10,000 recipients while staying within Gmail's send limits.
How to batch send a campaign
- When your campaign is ready, click Continue. In the Mailsuite Campaign pop-up, click Schedule send.
- In the Scheduled campaign window, click the Batch send tab.
- Under Date and time to start sending, choose when you'd like the campaign to start. By default, the current date and time are selected.
- Under Emails per day, choose how many emails you'd like to send each day (up to 2,000).
- Under Days to send, choose the days and hours to send your campaign. By default, it's Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Click Customize days to change it to whatever you think will work best for your open and click rates.
- Check the date when your campaign is expected to be fully sent, then click Send batched campaign.
Your batched campaign appears in the Mailsuite Scheduled folder in Gmail and in the Scheduled tab of the Campaigns section of your dashboard. To cancel it, see Cancel a campaign.
Are there any limitations?
To avoid going over Gmail's send limits, you can send up to 2,000 emails per day, and up to 10,000 emails per campaign.
Please bear in mind that the daily limit takes into account all the campaigns you send on a particular day. So, for example, you won't be able to send 5 campaigns to 1,000 recipients each on the same day.
Also, a batch campaign can't be set up to finish sending more than 2 weeks after it was created. If you can't send the campaign for this reason, you'll need to:
- move the start date forward,
- increase the number of emails per day, or
- send emails on more days.
