What’s better than knowing if people have read your emails? Knowing if they’ve clicked on the links inside the emails, that’s what!
How to track link clicks in emails with Mailsuite
First, you need to upgrade Mailsuite.
Once you’ve done that, add the links that you want to track to your message and click send.
Mailsuite will track link clicks by redirecting the link URL to our servers. Then, in your email activity, we’ll tell you all about the people who’ve clicked the link. Bear in mind the recipient’s email or browsing experience remains unchanged by this.
There’s a number of ways you can monitor click traffic with Mailsuite’s link tracker:
- Hovering over Mailsuite’s check marks in Gmail.
- Checking the email activity for a particular email in your Mailsuite Dashboard.
- Receiving real-time Desktop Notifications every time someone clicks on a link.
- Receiving email alerts when someone first clicks on a link.
Now, you may be thinking that this sounds familiar to the link tracking offered by Google Analytics. And you’d be right, although Mailsuite’s email link tracking feature is a lot simpler and more user-friendly (particularly for non-professional marketers). There’s no need to build tracking links yourself using utm tags, simply add your links to your messages and click send.

Why is Email Link Tracking useful?
If you’re already a Mailsuite user, you’ll know how useful our free email tracking is for checking when your emails are opened and how many times.
Our Link Tracking feature takes your email analytics to the next level. Knowing whether people open your messages is great. But being able to track link clicks is priceless!
Speaking to a sales prospect? If they’ve clicked on links in your email this likely means they’re interested in its content. You can then send a follow-up email to keep you and your services at the top of your prospect’s mind (and inbox).
Trying to get an invoice paid? If a customer has clicked the tracking link to the invoice but you haven’t been paid yet you can give them a nudge to remind them to settle the account.
Want people to confirm attendance for an upcoming event? With link tracking, you can track individual responses. So you can follow up with those people who’ve clicked on your invitation but haven’t yet confirmed they’re attending.
Whichever way you look at it, link tracking helps keep your community engaged.
Businesses can use it to analyse user behavior, website traffic etc. They can then tailor their conversion process to increase their customer base.
Non-business users can use it to share content/information with people in a way that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. Even with the likes of Facebook and other social media site.
It also helps avoid sending emails to people who aren’t at all engaged with your communications. As anyone involved in email marketing will tell you, this is really important. Why? Because messaging people who aren’t interested in your emails can get you marked as a spammer. And you definitely don’t want that!
How do I turn off the Link Tracking feature?
If you upgraded from Mailsuite Free to Mailsuite but don’t feel like using the Email Link Tracking feature anymore, all you have to do is deactivate it in your Mailsuite settings.
